Lunt Silversmiths for Tempus Fugit 'Long' Absinthe Spoon Collection

In 1902, George C. Lunt, an engraver in the A .F. Towle & Son company, bought the business and renamed it Rogers, Lunt and Bowlen Co. In 1935, the name was changed to Lunt Silversmiths and the company has remained in family hands since the beginning. It is located at the same place it was founded, on the edge of the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts in the small town of Greenfield. Lunt's Embassy Scroll pattern was chosen by the U.S. government as its official tableware for all U.S. embassies and consulates around the world.

Tempus Fugit has commissioned this historic silverware maker to create an exclusive, limited-edition line of solid sterling silver 'long' absinthe spoons. All are original Tempus Fugit designs, except the 'Heart' spoon, which is copied from a French antique. These magnificent silver pieces are first die-struck and then the three separate sections are assembled, attatched, soldered and polished by hand, in the same fashion as the best original long-spoon models. They are wonderfully balanced, functional and are sure to take a special place in your absinthe collection. All pieces are hallmarked with .925 LUNT and the Tempus Fugit logo.

The Jade Spoon - Enameled Letters

Inspired by one of the most famous and beautiful advertising spoons, the 'Absinthe Joanne'. This modern adaptation was made to surpass the quality of the original! Coin-die struck with precision tooling by a US silver-maker, who is also a supplier to Tiffany's. This type of silver-service quality has not been seen in any modern absinthe spoons since the ban!
