Hand-blown absinthe glasses from Cristalerias San Miguel

The absinthe glasses from M5IDEES (formerly Cristalerias San Miguel) are all hand blown using traditional glassblowing methods. Each glass is unique and requires five skilled craftsmen to create and finish. There may occasionally be small variations and bubbles found inside the glass. This is normal for this technique, which remains virtually unchanged for hundreds of years.

Large individual absinthe dripper

A full 10.2 centimeters in diameter (2 centimeters larger than our original model seen above), this dripper cup will fit atop virtually ANY modern or antique absinthe glass. It was designed to fit the Grand Pontarlier glass perfectly.

Grand Pontarlier and matching dripper absinthe set

A classic combination of two fine hand-blown pieces of glassware. The Grand Pontarlier glass is matched with a large dripper. The glass is used in conjunction with the specially designed large-sized dripper as the ultimate mixing tool - ice-water is slowly added to the dripper cup and allowed to flow gently into to the absinthe in the glass. If you wish, a sugar cube can be added to the dripper along with ice.

Height 6.5" (16.5cm)

The 'Cordon' glass is so called because of the band or cordon around the bottom of the glass acting as a measure for the absinthe. It was originally created exclusively for absinthe and originals are now one of the rarest and most sought-after antiques. You can enjoy the experience of owning and drinking from one made from original 100+ year-old moulds. This hand-blown crystal glass has the proper dose marked by the 'cordon' encircling the bottom and has a pleasantly heavy feel. We are sure that it will make a fine addition to your bar-ware collection.

Our individual drippers also fit this glass!

LDF exclusive!

Height 6" (10cm)

This is a fantastic absinthe-tasting and collectable glass: an original 'Pontarlier' type glass, hand-blown in crystal using the original, recently rediscovered 19th century mould. The volume is quite large (in total approximately 41cl - almost 14 ounces - 15cm in height/10cm diameter), helping the drinker to appreciate delicate aromas and flavours from the best absinthes without overfilling, and it can be comfortably swirled by holding its base. The dosed stem has not been altered from the original mould and is around 2.5cl. (note: due to the hand-blown process, dose sizes may vary slightly from glass to glass) and you should follow the type and alcoholic strength of absinthe used along with your own taste to find your preferred mixing ratio. Should you wish to use an absinthe spoon with this glass, we suggest only the Replica 'Cuilleres #1' or 'Playing Cards' spoons as virtually all other replica absinthe spoons are too short.

Individual absinthe brouille (dripper)

Price (excluding VAT at 20%): £5.00

(£6.00 Including VAT at 20%)

This hand blown crystal glass brouille or dripper is the ideal solution to mixing your absinthe. It can be used in combination with any of our own replica absinthe glasses or with your own favourite glass. Just set it on top of the glass and fill it with cracked ice and water then allow the water to drip into the glass. If you like to use sugar, place a cube over the hole before adding ice. A slower drip can be achieved by adding water in small amounts in several steps or, in warmer settings, allowing shaved ice to melt on its own.

Fits all our glasses except the Grand Pontarlier.
