Royal Combier is a blend of Triple Sec spirit, cognac and one of the most famous French hygienic liqueurs of the 19th century, Elixir de Combier (containing ingredients such as aloe, nutmeg, myrrh, cardamom, cinnamon and saffron). It makes a wonderful drink by itself on ice or as a base for cocktails, such as the Kir 'Royal Combier' when mixed with champagne. Its complex orange and herbal aromas excel over Grand Marnier as an alcohol flambé for Crêpes Suzette.

Rich, warm and sweet, with spices that make it quite unique but in no way over-power the lovely but now scarce main ingredient. Watching it swirl with a cube of ice is quite something.. and also, I found if you leave a small glass of this on a windowsill over time, it forms the most beautiful crystals...
