This is the second edition, using the absinthe recipe from 1908 that the owner had always wanted to experiment with and commercialize under his own label and is distilled by the Emile Pernot Distillery. Every effort was made to remain faithful to its historic origins and even some of the plant ingredients, including the wormwood, were grown on a private farm in Pontarlier. This second batch uses wine alcohol as its base. Belle Amie is an absinthe that remains outside the norm of modern interpretations. Click on image to see label details.
