In warm weather the pressure of alcohol vapour may cause the cork to rise in the bottle and crack the wax seal. This in no way harms the contents of the bottle.
Please note that the new bottlings are 70cl and have modified labels from those pictured.

Jade PF 1901 absinthe
70cl 68% abv (136 proof)
Silver Medal Winner at the 2007 London International Wine and Spirit Competition
PF 1901 is a tribute to what is the best known and most widely sampled pre-ban absinthe. Pernod Fils. PF 1901 takes its name from the year in which the original Pernod Fils distillery in Pontarlier caught fire.
When the distillery was rebuilt and repaired, out-dated alembics were replaced by the most modern equipment of the time. The old alembics were either destroyed by the fire and sold for scrap or sold off to smaller distilleries. The Combier Distillery purchased two of these 1100 liter stills and installed them along with the 8 smaller stills which had been a part of the distillery since 1894. The importance of this history and especially the authenticity of these two circa 1870's alembics were not overlooked when T.A. Breaux chose the Combier Distillery in which to make Jade vintage absinthes clones.

Jade VS 1898 absinthe
70cl 65% abv (130 proof)
Gold Medal Winner - Best of Class at the 2007 London International Wine and Spirit Competition
Verte Suisse has now been renamed VS 1898, to differentiate this French absinthe from a Swiss-made product.
This fine absinthe was almost lost forever if it had not been for the resurfacing of a few extremely rare original, and unopened bottles, which Jade Liqueurs was able to secure for study and preservation. Using proprietary analytical techniques, Jade Liqueurs has painstakingly resurrected this beautiful liquor from extinction. The original C. F. Berger absinthe was first created in Switzerland in 1830 and became so popular in France that another distillery was opened in Marseille by 1874. 'Swiss-style' absinthes (a term used to describe the manufacturing technique and not necessarily the origin) became the standard for quality, so much so that French distilleries often used the term 'Suisse' to designate their finest absinthes and virtually all French absinthes carried a Swiss cross on their labels.

Jade Nouvelle-Orléans absinthe
Jade Nouvelle-Orléans absinthe
70cl 68% abv (136 proof)
Silver Medal Winner at the 2006 London International Wine and Spirit Competition
Jade Absinthe Nouvelle-Orléans presents the connoisseur with an unique perfume and texture that disappeared along with the artisanal marques almost a century ago. Several medicinal plants and flowers, including wormwood are macerated in a wine-based alcohol and then distilled in 100 year old alambics. Its light green colour comes from a second infusion of plants in the resulting distillate. Its aromas are bright yet complex and savory; it is a true apéritif, one that stimulates the appetite while cleansing and refreshing the palate with its crisp, rich taste. The finish is long and fresh, with its attractive floral components lingering long after the last sip.
As a final note, Nouvelle-Orléans is refined enough to be sipped straight, particularly as a digestif at the end of a fine meal. It is truly exceptional when coupled with a delicate, almond-based dessert, such as a macaroon.
We invite you to see why we truly consider Absinthe Nouvelle-Orléans to be lEsprit du Vieux Carre.
