Hand-blown absinthe glasses from Cristalerias San Miguel

The absinthe glasses from Cristalerias San Miguel are all hand blown using traditional glassblowing methods. Each glass is unique and requires five skilled craftsmen to create and finish. There may occasionally be small variations and bubbles found inside the glass. This is normal for this technique, which remains virtually unchanged for hundreds of years.

Grand Pontarlier crystal absinthe glass

LDF exclusive!

This is a fantastic absinthe-tasting and collectable glass: an original 'Pontarlier' type glass, hand-blown in crystal using the original, recently rediscovered 19th century mould. The volume is quite large (in total approximately 41cl - almost 14 ounces - 15cm in height/10cm diameter), helping the drinker to appreciate delicate aromas and flavours from the best absinthes without overfilling, and it can be comfortably swirled by holding its base. The dosed stem has not been altered from the original mould and is around 2.5cl. (note: due to the hand-blown process, dose sizes may vary slightly from glass to glass) and you should follow the type and alcoholic strength of absinthe used along with your own taste to find your preferred mixing ratio. Should you wish to use an absinthe spoon with this glass, we suggest only the Replica 'Cuilleres #1' or 'Playing Cards' spoons as virtually all other replica absinthe spoons are too short.

Individual absinthe dripper

Price (excluding VAT at 17.5%): £5.00
Convert: USD | Other

This hand blown crystal glass dripper is the ideal solution to mixing your absinthe. It can be used in combination with any of our own replica absinthe glasses or with your own favourite glass. Just set it on top of the glass and fill it with cracked ice and water then allow the water to drip into the glass. If you like to use sugar, place a cube over the hole before adding ice. A slower drip can be achieved by adding water in small amounts in several steps or, in warmer settings, allowing shaved ice to melt on its own.

Fits all our glasses except the Grand Pontarlier.

This hand-blown glass dripper set (known in France as a 'Brouille' glass) is the ideal way to dilute your absinthe. (If you like to use a sugar cube just add that to the dripper by placing it over the hole). This was the preferred method of taking absinthe of Ernest Hemingway and mentioned in "The Sun Also Rises," "The Garden of Eden" and the short story "The Strange Country."
