Absinthe Louise XVIII blanche is made according to an old hand-written recipe and contains some rare and uncommon plants which add to its distinctive flavour. The nine plants used are: Grand wormwood, anise verte, fennel, Artemisia pontica, basil, tansy, sanicle, hyssop and angelica. This absinthe is crystal clear with strong wormwood aromas, the louche is classic, white and thick and the aromas open out in the glass. The Pontarlier wormwood is evident on the palette and the absinthe has a long finish.

Absinthe Third Republic (Verte IIIe Republique) was created from an Abbel Bresson recipe of 1911 discovered in an old book. It uses a classic range of plants: Grand wormwood, anise, fennel, Artemisia pontica, hyssop and melissa. It shows good colour and aroma before dilution, with a very herbal aroma. A classic louche, slow and thick retaining a nice green colour. Strong complex aroma after adding water, with notes of hyssop. The flavour is full and balanced with good wormwood and a classic creamy 'vintage' taste and a nice long finish.

Absinthe Napoleon verte III is adapted from an 1857 Cusenier recipe. Nine plants are used in the recipe and in addition to the 'holy trinity' of Grand wormwood, anise and fennel, the flavour is enhanced with Artemisia pontica, coriander, badiane, angelica, hyssop and melissa. The aroma before adding water is herbal and the louche is perfect with a slow build to a thick finish that retains the original colour of the absinthe. The aroma opens out well with water and the flavour is strong and complex with anise and fennel slightly ahead of the wormwood, followed by a very long finish.
