Absinthe Montmartre is traditionally distilled using classic plant ingredients found in historic absinthes: wormwood, green anise, Florence fennel, the exotic spiciness of coriander, along with creaminess enhanced by the atypical addition of licorice root. More exotic choices include the highly aromatic angelica, the warm, pleasant spiciness of cinnamon, and finally, a 'zesting' in the distillation of orange and citrus peel. It is naturally colored after distillation with the traditional ingredients; petite wormwood, hyssop, melissa, with the addition of a touch of bright mint. It is finished at a traditional 65% alcohol, to preserve and present this unusual and delicious combination of ingredients at their best. It has an attractive green color and slow-forming louche, which reflects its excellent craftsmanship.
