When Peter Dunne contacted us to request props for his play set in Belle Epoque Paris we were only too happy to oblige.

It's 1899 and after two years of hard labour in English prisons Oscar Wilde is in exile in Paris. Destitute, infamous and living a precarious existence under the pseudonym Sebastian Melmoth. One of his ragged tactics of survival was to offer his ability as a wordsmith to write the lyrics to the operas of various composers. Oscar who was known for his lily adorned buttonhole obliges any composer who commissions his pen to also wear in their buttonhole a white lily until the work is finished. This they are eager to do. Meanwhile Death ' the dark reaper' arrives in Paris hell bent on purging the world of these 'putrid aesthetes'. This he achieves by inducing spontaneous combustion in his lily loving victims and Oscar is top of his list. Oscar, however, after his encounter with a flower girl no longer wears the lily in his buttonhole but now sports a curious blue rose.

Acclaimed playwright Peter Dunne "an authority on the Wildean legend" returns to the theme of Oscar to collaborate with award nominated director Sean Turner on this remarkable and imaginative new play.

Enigma absinthe partnered bar Nightjar to provide a dedicated absinthe bar at their Storyville event held at Factory 7 in Shoreditch. Guests were entertained by a selection of jazz artists and enjoyed Enigma absinthe served traditionally or in the Fiery fairy cocktail.

Enigma blanche and Enigma Verte Suisse both scooped the Silver medals in their individual classes at the London International Wine & Spirits Competition.

The Kazimier in Liverpool is famed for its eclectic themed nights incorporating fancy dress, theatre and exciting live performances. The kazimier has opened a dedicated absinthe bar above the main dance floor where patrons can enjoy a selection of absinthes supplied by LDF, including Enigma verte and Nemesinthe.

We start the new year with two exclusive listings. Le Poisson Rouge is an innovative Indo French restaurant located on picturesque Baga creek in North Goa. Chef owner Gregory Bazire has developed his skills as a result of working in restaurants from California to Ireland, but most of all in his family restaurant in Normandy.

Gregory was looking to create a unique French theme and approached Liqueurs de France to assist in selecting an absinthe. We had no hestitation in recommending Enigma verte and were able to supply Gregory with absinthe fountains and glassware to create a very special ambience.

Vagabond is the hot new club and beach resort situated overlooking Vagator beach and the Arabian sea. Located within the Casa Vagator hotel it provides luxury and seclusion combined with a selection of food and cocktails from the bar.
